Do these challenges sound familiar to you?
Employees spend a lot of time looking for equipment. .
It is not clear on which vehicle or at which work site an object is located.
Tools are left behind at construction sites or at customers' locations.
You don't know who last used a machine or tool.
Valuable company assets go missing or are stolen.
Equipment is unnecessarily repurchased or rented.
Inspections and maintenance are performed too late.
Information is scattered across Excel files and various systems.
What is EasyAsset?
EasyAsset is the umbrella term for Rietveld’s asset tracking solutions.
Depending on the item, its value, the desired location accuracy, and how the equipment is used, we work with you to select the most appropriate tracking technology.
EasyAsset can be used for, among other things:
- Trailers and semi-trailers
- Construction equipment
- Generators and compressors
- Containers and loading equipment
- Construction materials
- Tools
- Measuring equipment
- Machines without a fixed power supply
- Smaller capital goods
Location data can be combined with vehicle information in EasyTrack. This gives you a clear overview of both your fleet and equipment within a single centralized environment. EasyTrack has a modular design and can integrate vehicle, machine, and asset tracking.
The Benefits
- No external power source required
- GPS tracking, even outside the Netherlands
- Send locations independently
- Location information visible in EasyTrack
- Suitable for objects that aren’t always near a vehicle
- Less time wasted locating equipment
The Bumblebee uses GPS to determine its location and can transmit location data on its own. This makes this solution particularly suitable for objects that are moved over longer distances or remain out of range of a vehicle or fixed location for extended periods of time.
Bumblebee GPS Tracker
Standalone GPS tracking for objects without a power source
The Bumblebee is designed to track larger or valuable objects that do not have their own power source.
The tracker has its own power source and transmits location data via a mobile data connection. This requires a subscription with a SIM card. The object’s location is then displayed in the EasyTrack app.
Because no connection to the object’s electrical system is required, the tracker can be mounted on a wide variety of equipment.
Suitable for, among other things
- Trailers and semi-trailers
- Containers
- Generators
- Compressors
- Construction equipment
- Mobile units
- Valuable materials
- Equipment that remains at off-site locations for extended periods
Bluetooth tags
Cost-effective tracking of large numbers of tools and capital assets
For smaller items or large quantities of capital goods, a GPS tracker for each item isn’t always necessary or cost-effective.
In such cases, Rietveld offers compact Bluetooth tags. The tag is attached to the tool or object and runs on a battery that lasts up to approximately five years. No SIM card or data plan is required for each individual tag.
As soon as a tag comes within range of a vehicle equipped with a Qan-All unit, the Bluetooth signal is detected. The Qan-All then transmits the detected location to EasyTrack.
As a result, you won’t see a continuous, standalone GPS position for each tag, but you will see which vehicle or location the object was last detected at.
Suitable for, among other things
- Power tools
- Measuring equipment
- Ladders and stairs
- Welding equipment
- Pumps
- Small machinery
- Safety equipment
- Other small capital goods
The Benefits
- No SIM card required per object
- Low cost per tag
- Battery life of up to approximately five years
- Suitable for large numbers of objects
- Automatic detection from vehicles
- Locations visible within EasyTrack
- Less manual scanning and registration
Bluetooth Low Energy tags are detected by a receiver or gateway in the vicinity. That receiver then processes and transmits the location information to the central software.
Expanding with a gateway
Insight into warehouses, depots, and project sites as well
Not every asset is constantly located in or near a vehicle.
That’s why the Bluetooth solution can be expanded with gateways at fixed locations. A gateway detects nearby tags and automatically records which assets are present at that location.
This allows you to include multiple locations in your asset tracking network.
For example:
- Central warehouses
- Workshops
- Depots
- Construction sites
- Equipment containers
- Branches
- Distribution Points
When an item enters or leaves a location, the last observation is updated. This gives you a more complete picture of your equipment’s movements.
